Next, have your child place the pegs around the can.
Slip your plant inside, and tie a ribbon around the planter.

1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
water
White paper plates
sandwich size Ziploc bags
food coloring or tempera paint
Mix the dry ingredients in a small bowl. Add the food coloring or paint into a small amount of water, and stir together. Slowly add enough water into the dry mixture to make a paint as thick as pancake or cake batter. Now here’s the key: whisk it all together until there are no lumps. Lumps can clog the sandwich bag opening and cause frustration when it plugs up. Place the paint in the bag, remove the air, and zip closed. Make a teeny-tiny cut from one corner of the bag and have your child squeeze the paint onto the plate. When finished, microwave for 30-40 seconds—the paint should be dry but nice and puffy! Sign and date the back of the art piece.
